The UniSQ Evaluation Consultancy is a joint initiative between the Institute for Resilient Regions and the Academic Transformation Portfolio. It brings together evaluation, consultation, data analysis and higher education experts to deliver independent insights, solutions and impact for our regions. We will bring together the most appropriate team for each evaluation to ensure we can deliver high quality products on time and budget.
Professor Lyn Alderman, holds the position of Dean (Academic Transformation) at the UniSQ, leading the Academic Transformation Portfolio and reporting directly to the Provost. With has over thirty-five years’ experience, Lyn is a higher education expert and principal evaluator who specialises in process and impact evaluation, monitoring and evaluation frameworks design, policy design and program conceptualisation, institutional academic analytics, performance models and engendering widespread organisational change. Lyn is the visionary behind the Evaluation Consultancy and is the Executive and Principal Evaluator. She is a Fellow of the Australian Evaluation Society.
Prof Hon. John McVeigh holds the position of Executive Director (Institute for Resilient Regions) and SQNNSW Hub Director and reports directly to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation). John brings a wealth of experience and connections to the regions in which we operate.
Dr Jasmine Thomas is the Associate Director (Academic Integrity and Evaluation) directing the Evaluation Methodology Team and is responsible institution-wide for academic integrity. Jasmine has ten years’ experience in higher education encompassing educational technology, project management and is now leading the Academic Integrity and Evaluation unit. Jasmine brings a legal and ethical context to evaluation having completed her doctoral thesis on the impact that technology has on lawyers’ ethics. Jasmine is the Director, Business Development and Evaluator in the UniSQ Evaluation Consultancy and is directing all operations of consultancy. Jasmine is the point of contact for all partners, clients and prospective clients.
Dr Benjamin Harris is the Manager (Evaluation Methodologies) and has led the Evaluation Methodologies team at UniSQ for the past two years and has been responsible for developing a variety of novel evaluation methodologies for the higher education context. Benjamin brings an international context to evaluation having completed his doctoral thesis in international relations and terrorism studies. Ben has led a generous number of evaluations and is a co-facilitator of workshops at UniSQ Brisbane. Ben has an active research profile and is a member of the Australian Evaluation Society.
Dr Carol Quadrelli holds the Associate Director (Curriculum Quality and Credit) at UniSQ. Carol has extensive experience in the higher education sector spanning 25 years. Carol has acquired a strong pedagogical skill set enhanced by the completion of my Doctor of Philosophy and Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education in conjunction with industry experience across state and local governments. Carol has a multidisciplinary background encompasses Education, Sociology and Criminology discipline areas.
Mr Samuel Whittingham holds the position of Evaluation Coordinator and coordinates the Graduate Employment Program. Samuel has nine years’ experience working in Higher Education, including student and academic support, communications and event management, philanthropy, executive support, and evaluation. He manages the website and coordinates communications and marketing for the consultancy.
There may be other staff who are also called in or contracted to support the consultancy activities.
